Matthew Mayoh, Director

Matthew has over 18 years of recruitment experience, the past thirteen of which have been focused purely on the HR profession.

Following a Business degree and a post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management, Matthew embarked on his recruitment career in London with a volume based retail agency. After several successful years he moved into HR recruitment with a leading London brand focusing on mid-level HR professionals predominantly in the professional and financial services sectors. His success in that practice led to promotion and the establishment of a new division focusing on HR roles in the technology and FMCG sectors.  

In 2009 Matthew relocated to Sydney, Australia and continued his development as recruitment professional, leading a successful HR practice within a global agency. Over the past 8 years Matthew has built up a strong network of HR professionals and a reputation as leading search specialist within the sector. Matthew is known for his personable style, direct communication and his ability to not only assess capability but match personal style to organisational culture.

Outside work Matthew is kept busy by his two children and watching sport, sometimes at the stadium but increasingly in his armchair.

Claire McCabe, resourcing consultant

Claire has accrued six years of recruitment experience across the HR and Accountancy specialisms, both here in Sydney and in the UK.

Her career in recruitment began during a Working Holiday Visa opportunity with a leading HR agency in Sydney. She supported a busy team of five HR recruiters and the partner of executive HR recruitment.  Fast forward two years and a transfer to the company’s London office, led to the  first opportunity of working with Capability HR’s Director, Matt Mayoh.  She recalls a driven recruiter with a wickedly dry sense of humour.  Following a move to Bristol, Claire swapped HR recruitment for Accountancy and Finance, sourcing, assessing and engaging with candidates across South Wales and the South West of England. 

In 2012, Claire relocated back to Sydney with her husband and has since utilised her seasoned soft skills as a Graduate Engagement Officer in the tertiary education sector.  Claire was reunited with Matt at Capability HR in 2019 and is enjoying working in a flexible and innovative environment.  Claire has a focus on Candidate Care, Sourcing and Social Media.

In her spare time, Claire is training to run her second marathon in San Francisco, as well as support her son’s early rugby career and her daughter’s budding netball journey.

Ray Miller, resourcing consultant

Ray has five years’ experience in the recruitment industry and has worked for Capability HR since mid 2018.  As a master’s graduate of International Business, his knowledge and expertise is particularly strong in systems and processes – crucial areas that underpin the agency recruitment service.  Ray’s responsibilities include candidate administration and research.

In his personal time Ray enjoys hitting the gym and bingeing on the latest shows on Netflix!
