*Sydney HR Vacancies July 2026*

Sydney’s HR market stayed steady through July 2026, sitting at just under 400 active vacancies. That’s slightly above last month and 9.6% higher than July 2025. Growth is being driven by specialist capability, with Talent Acquisition roles up 64% year‑on‑year and Employee Relations up 56.7%.

Permanent hiring continues to dominate, with 85% of all HR ads now for perm roles. Even with a small mid‑July dip, the overall trend reflects sustained employer confidence. Temporary demand remains stable and is mostly tied to short‑term or project‑based needs.

Industry mix is concentrated. Industrial and Financial Services together make up 45.5% of all HR vacancies. Retail/Leisure, Healthcare/Pharma and Technology each hold a consistent 10–12%. Government and Education remain small contributors.

Overall: a healthy mid and senior HR market, but one where specialist capability is increasingly the differentiator.
